Join our team as a Picker/Packer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and play a vital role in our order fulfillment process. You will be responsible for accurately picking products from warehouse shelves and packing them securely for shipment. This position demands attention to detail, speed, and accuracy to ensure our customers receive their orders correctly and in excellent condition. A commitment to safety is paramount in this hands-on logistics role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order slips or scanner.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, using correct packing materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipping, ensuring all necessary information is present.
- Operate manual and powered equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse cleanliness.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization as needed.
- Meet productivity standards for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order details and product codes.
- Proficiency in basic math and measurement.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 35 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics processes.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
