Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, manifests, and other documentation accurately.
- Verify that all outgoing orders are correct and complete before shipment.
- Package items securely and appropriately for transit.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates to customers or internal teams as needed.
- Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, orderly, and well-stocked.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and the use of required PPE.
- Assist with receiving duties as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and carrier representatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and shipping software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
