We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our Austin, Texas facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for production or shipment. A strong understanding of Safety procedures, the ability to perform manual Lifting, and a commitment to teamwork are essential for success in this position. Join our Logistics team and contribute to a smooth operational flow.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using pallet jacks or other equipment.
- Stock shelves and racks accurately, ensuring proper rotation.
- Pick and stage materials for production orders or shipments.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely (if certified).
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to Safety standards.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage.
- Perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE.
- Assist with the efficient flow of Logistics within the warehouse.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Physical capability to perform frequent Lifting, bending, and standing.
- Must be able to handle manual Lifting of heavy objects.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety practices.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with required PPE.
- Basic understanding of Logistics operations.
