We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage our outgoing shipments at our Richmond, Virginia location. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for processing all outbound orders, ensuring they are accurately documented, packed, and ready for timely dispatch. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of our Logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing shipments.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping documents.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for transit, ensuring the use of appropriate materials.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the system accordingly.
- Monitor inventory levels for shipping supplies.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and company policies.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as scales and pallet jacks.
- Assist with Loading and unloading as required.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting of packages.
- Ensure team members are utilizing the correct PPE.
- Contribute to efficient Logistics operations through proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and computer systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting and standing.
- Understanding of Safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with necessary PPE.
