We are seeking motivated Order Pickers to join our growing logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This position requires a keen attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will use scanning devices and pick lists to locate items, ensuring the correct product and quantity are gathered. Working in a fast-paced distribution center, you will play a critical role in our supply chain operations. We provide comprehensive training and expect adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Place picked items into appropriate containers or onto carts for transport.
- Stage orders in designated areas for quality control and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties and logistics support as needed.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage during the picking and staging process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking role is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics is helpful.
