Join our thriving logistics center in Huntsville, Alabama, as an Order Picker. This critical role involves accurately retrieving items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. You will be the backbone of our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. This position requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. You will work with sophisticated scanning equipment and must be able to navigate our extensive inventory with precision. We prioritize safety and efficiency in all our warehouse activities.
Responsibilities:
- Read order slips or scan barcodes to identify items to be picked.
- Locate and retrieve correct items from warehouse shelving.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Meet or exceed daily picking targets in our dynamic logistics environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable using RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Physical ability to perform lifting tasks, with the capacity to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
