We are looking for a dependable and physically capable Material Handler to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is critical for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse, supporting our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, transporting them to various locations, and ensuring materials are properly stored and tracked. A strong commitment to Safety and maintaining a clean work environment is expected. Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to Safety standards.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment issues.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Perform tasks requiring regular physical exertion and Lifting.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including significant Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and carrying materials.
- Understanding of basic warehouse Safety procedures.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Good physical stamina and coordination.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manual labor role is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Commitment to adhering to Safety guidelines and using PPE.
