We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Clerk at our Columbus, Ohio location. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes performing regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that all inventory movements are recorded properly in our system. A meticulous approach and a solid understanding of inventory control principles within a logistics environment are essential. This role is crucial for optimizing stock levels and supporting operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers.
- Monitor stock levels and report any issues to management.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Assist in implementing inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Support the receiving and shipping departments with inventory-related tasks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehousing is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with WMS and inventory management software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and communication abilities.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
