We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of incoming goods, ensuring all shipments are correctly documented, inspected, and put away. This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the smooth flow of our operations. You will work closely with our inventory and shipping departments to ensure seamless transitions of products.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all receiving activities accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming inventory with appropriate identifiers.
- Move received goods to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to Safety in all aspects of the job.
