Join our vibrant logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia, as an Order Picker! We are looking for efficient and accurate individuals to ensure our customers receive their orders without delay. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse stock based on order specifications. This role is crucial for our order fulfillment process and requires a good eye for detail and the ability to work quickly and safely. You will utilize scanning equipment and follow established procedures to ensure accuracy. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain experience in the logistics industry. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and expect all team members to adhere to Safety protocols and wear the necessary PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities against order details.
- Stage picked items for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual lifting equipment as needed.
- Assist with replenishment of inventory to picking locations.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Wear all required PPE consistently.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to adhere to all Safety regulations and wear PPE.
