We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our busy warehouse in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from our inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your primary goal is to ensure that the correct products are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment, contributing directly to our logistics operations. Safety is a top priority, and all team members are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all warehouse safety guidelines. This position involves a significant amount of physical activity, including walking, standing, bending, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs. Experience with order picking equipment, such as RF scanners or voice-directed picking systems, is a plus. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other associates to meet daily picking targets. Reliability, speed, and accuracy are key attributes for success in this role. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely for shipment.
- Operate RF scanners or other picking equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy targets.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic logistics procedures.
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
