We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming materials, as well as preparing outgoing shipments. Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse setting and a proven track record of dependability. We are committed to providing a safe working environment for all our employees and expect adherence to all safety protocols. This includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. You will be involved in various tasks including loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts (certification may be required), and using pallet jacks to move inventory. Physical stamina is important, as this role involves significant lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Understanding inventory management principles and accurately documenting all movements will also be part of your daily responsibilities. Our logistics operations depend on the efficient handling of materials, and your contribution is vital to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through diligent record-keeping.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
