Are you looking for a fast-paced role in a dynamic warehouse environment? We are hiring an Order Picker for our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy directly contribute to our customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and thrives in a team-oriented setting. You will work with a variety of products, utilizing scanning technology and warehouse equipment to fulfill orders promptly and correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or electronic scanners.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently into appropriate containers for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy before packing, ensuring all items and quantities match the order details.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely to retrieve and move inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to the overall tidiness of the warehouse.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Achieve picking and packing productivity goals while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Assist in receiving and stocking of incoming goods as needed.
- Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or stock issues to supervisors promptly.
- Support the broader logistics team with various warehouse tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or fulfillment role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting items weighing up to 40-50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with scanning technology and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and vests.
- A dedication to maintaining a safe work environment is essential.
