Join our growing team in Orlando, Florida as a Receiving Clerk! This role is essential for managing the efficient flow of goods into our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming inventory. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and understands the importance of accuracy in logistics and supply chain operations. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure all shipments are processed correctly and on time. A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload all incoming freight, verifying shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or overages, documenting any discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Label and stage incoming inventory for proper storage or distribution.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Liaise with carriers and vendors to resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Support overall warehouse logistics by ensuring timely and accurate receiving processes.
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse receiving position is highly desirable. Familiarity with inventory management software and RF scanners is a plus. Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and proper lifting techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of basic logistics principles.
