We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our San Antonio, Texas facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure that all materials are handled with care and that the warehouse is kept in an organized and safe manner. This position requires precision, a strong work ethic, and a deep understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move pallets, materials, and finished goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Store merchandise in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Conduct pre-shift checks and daily inspections of forklift equipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by scanning items and updating system records.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations of the company.
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting. Valid forklift certification is required. Ability to perform consistent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Strong knowledge of warehouse safety best practices. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Familiarity with logistics software and RF scanners is a plus.
