We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This vital role ensures that all incoming goods are received accurately, inspected properly, and documented efficiently. You will be responsible for verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately recording received items into our inventory system. This position is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting our logistics operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to upholding safety standards, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This role involves physical tasks, including lifting and moving packages. Familiarity with warehouse receiving procedures and basic data entry is important. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies upon arrival.
- Accurately record received items into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming inventory as required.
- Stage received goods for put-away or other warehouse processes.
- Communicate any issues, damages, or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving documentation.
- Basic computer skills and experience with WMS or inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
