Are you a meticulous and experienced professional passionate about inventory accuracy? We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our stock, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling inventory records, and implementing process improvements to enhance accuracy. Your expertise will directly impact efficiency and reduce costs associated with stockouts or overstocking. We require strict adherence to safety protocols, including the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position involves regular analysis of data, utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS), and collaborating with various departments to resolve inventory issues. The ability to perform tasks requiring significant attention to detail and occasional lifting is necessary. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Reconcile inventory records with physical stock through data analysis and system updates.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, adjustments, and locations.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, procurement, and sales teams to resolve inventory-related problems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Train other staff on inventory control procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in inventory control or management.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
