We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operators to join our thriving logistics operations in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safe and efficient material handling while maintaining inventory accuracy. A valid forklift certification and a strong commitment to workplace safety are mandatory. If you have a proven track record of safe operation and efficiency, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Transport materials from receiving areas to storage locations and from storage to shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE and safe Lifting practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material movement and logistics.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned when not operating a forklift.
- Ensure all movements are conducted with the utmost care to prevent damage to goods or property.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate Lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
