We are hiring a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our vibrant logistics team in Portland, Oregon. This position is integral to our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for shipment. You will need to be efficient, accurate, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse inventory using a pick list or scanning device.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and labeling.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Properly use required PPE to ensure personal safety during all tasks.
- Contribute to achieving daily order fulfillment goals.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Follow all Lifting guidelines to prevent injuries.
- Understand and follow all logistics and company procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is a strong advantage.
- Ability to read and understand order specifications.
- Proficiency in using handheld scanners and basic computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
