We are seeking a diligent and energetic Warehouse Associate to join our state-of-the-art facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is crucial for the successful execution of our logistics and supply chain operations. You will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping a wide variety of products. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload shipments, verifying quantities and quality against documentation.
- Stock incoming goods in appropriate warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Accurately pick orders using RF scanners or pick sheets for shipment.
- Package products securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and staging for carriers.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (certification and training provided as needed).
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, following all housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, emphasizing the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to achieve operational targets within the logistics framework.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for long durations.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of logistics principles and warehouse operations.
- A strong commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
