Salary: £54,000-£59,000 Hours: Full-time
Who are RECCo? We are an independent, non-profit organisation responsible for the Retail Energy Code — a key part of how the GB retail energy market is regulated.
But we don’t just manage rules. We look ahead, not just react, helping the market change in the right way. We deliver secure digital services, clear governance, and practical solutions that protect consumers, support innovation, and help the energy system move towards net zero.
This role sits in our Data, Technology and Transformation Team, who support RECCo’s mission by delivering improvements to RECCo’s services, systems and ways of working, as well as leading projects that support and improve how the retail energy market operates. The team works across digital delivery, data and change to help ensure the Retail Energy Code is implemented effectively, securely and in line with regulatory objectives.
What you’ll be doing We are recruiting two permanent Business Analysts to support RECCo’s transformation portfolio. Each role will initially be aligned to a specific project, working closely with a Project Manager, subject matter experts, technical specialists and stakeholders across the retail energy market.
These roles are needed now to support projects that are moving through delivery and implementation, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, solutions are workable in practice, and changes are successfully embedded into business-as-usual operations. As permanent members of the Transformation Team, Business Analysts will move between projects over time, applying their skills to different initiatives as RECCo’s change portfolio evolves.
Current projects include: Enquiry Services Project
A software-led project entering the delivery phase, with a detailed set of requirements already defined. The Business Analyst will support delivery by clarifying and expanding requirements during build and test, working with delivery teams and external energy suppliers, and supporting the transition of the solution into operational ownership. The project is expected to use an Agile delivery approach and involves detailed process and data analysis.
Code Manager Evolution Project
A transformation project transitioning a set of established activities and processes into a new operating model. The Business Analyst will support analysis of existing processes and help define and implement new ways of working, including technical and service elements. This will involve gathering and refining requirements where parts of the future state are still being developed, supporting testing and implementation, and contributing to training and documentation. The project uses a flexible, hybrid delivery approach.
