Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and medical imaging.
  • Perform chairside assisting with precision, including taking vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and managing infection control protocols using aseptic techniques.
  • Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and digital radiography systems while ensuring proper safety and HIPAA compliance.
  • Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Take high-quality X-rays and other diagnostic images while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety standards.
  • Support administrative tasks such as dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control procedures and ensuring all tools are sterilized according to industry standards.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate accurate documentation and billing processes.

Experience

  • Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting with exposure to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential for managing patient records effectively.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation practices including HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with dental assisting techniques like four-handed dentistry and chairside procedures enhances workflow efficiency.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical imaging technology, vital signs measurement, and infection control protocols is required to support safe clinical practices.

Pay: $ $32.00 per hour
