  • Tuesday-Thursday: 4:00 AM - 9:00 AM
  • Every Other Weekend:
  • Saturday: 4:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Sunday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Pay Rate:
$16 per hour

Join Our Team as a Dietary Cook
Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Cook to prepare nutritious, appetizing, and well-presented meals for our residents. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of food preparation and safety practices, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and be passionate about providing quality service to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
  • Ensure meals are palatable, visually appealing, and served on time.
  • Prepare special diet trays and therapeutic meals based on residents' dietary needs.
  • Offer substitute foods when needed and prepare bedtime snacks.
  • Serve food using established portion control procedures.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitary, and infection control procedures.
  • Complete required forms, reports, and documentation.
  • Coordinate food service with other departments and implement dietitian-recommended changes.
  • Ensure menus are maintained and handled per facility policy.
  • Assist in organizing food service production lines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of food storage areas and workspaces.
  • Report hazardous conditions, missing labels, or equipment issues promptly.
  • Adhere to HIPAA requirements and wear protective clothing as needed.
  • Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies.
  • Recommend equipment or supply needs to the Food Services Director.
  • Ensure food and supplies for upcoming meals are readily available.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
  • Knowledgeable of food procedures and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English.
  • Able to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Willing to adopt new food preparation methods and principles.
  • Must maintain equipment, supplies, and work areas in clean and orderly condition.
