Dietary Director

Havencrest Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking an experienced and motivated Dietary Director to lead our dietary department and ensure high-quality nutritional services for our residents. This leadership role is essential to maintaining regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
• Plan, implement, and monitor menus in accordance with nutritional guidelines
• Supervise, schedule, and train dietary staff
• Maintain proper sanitation, food safety, and infection control standards
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and budget controls
• Collaborate with nursing, administration, and interdisciplinary teams
• Address resident dietary needs, preferences, and special diets

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Dietary Director or similar leadership role in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
• Knowledge of dietary regulations and survey preparedness
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage staff schedules and departmental budgets
• ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) a plus
