Job Summary

We are a multi-unit, casual dining independent restaurant group looking for looking for a professional Sous Chef / Assistant Kitchen Manager / Lead Line Cook to follow our company specifications and guidelines and execute the culinary program laid out by our restaurant group's Culinary Director, and managed by our unit's Executive Chef. The successful candidate will employ his/her culinary and self managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers' satisfaction, controlling restaurant costs and train/develop our employees. We are a scratch-kitchen concept that features contemporary American cuisine; we have exceptionally high standards for our food quality and put passion into everything we do. We care most about work ethic, attitude, and effort, candidates without all of the skills but with a strong culinary background will be considered.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Producing high quality plates both design and taste wise
  • Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards

  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
  • Labor Controls
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff leadership
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
  • Familiar with industry's best practices
  • Strives to be a strong manager, leader, and teacher

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
