We are hiring a Prefabrication Manager This position requires an individual who is a self-starter and can perform his daily duties with little supervision.

Requirements and Experience:
- Supervision & Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of plumbers, pipefitters, sheet metal and apprentices, including planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Prefabrication Coordination: Direct the fabrication of plumbing and mechanical assemblies accurately based on spool drawings, blueprints, and specifications to meet project deadlines.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Inspect work to ensure completed assemblies meet quality standards, applicable plumbing and building codes, and project specifications.
- Safety Management: Promote and enforce adherence to all safety regulations and company safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate daily work with field operations, project management, and the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)/BIM departments. Develop 1-week and 3-week look-ahead schedules and manage manpower requirements.
- Inventory & Tool Management: Manage material handling, storage, and inventory to support efficient production, minimize waste, and ensure all necessary parts, tools, and equipment are available.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shop activities, including labor hours, production progress, material usage, and as-built drawings. Prepare reports on shop performance.
Problem-Solving & Efficiency: Identify and implement cost-effective procedures and process efficiencies. Troubleshoot issues that arise during the fabrication process quickly.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 5 years of commercial or industrial plumbing/mechanical experience, with prior experience as a foreman or in a supervisory role.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of various piping systems (e.g., cast iron, copper, PVC, CPVC, Carbon and Stainless steel, Sheetmetal) and proficiency in joining methods like threading, welding, brazing, soldering, and fusing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and visualize 3D objects from blueprints, isometric, and orthographic drawings, as well as job-specific shop/spool drawings.
- Basic computer skills and competency with digital tools such as iPads and construction software are often required for documentation and coordination.
