Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a passion for food presentation, and the ability to support the head chef in managing kitchen operations. A background in baking, pastry arts, and food safety is highly valued, along with excellent knife skills and experience in catering or restaurant settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including baked goods and pastries, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, including cake decorating, packaging, and food handling procedures.
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Help manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Supervise junior kitchen staff during shifts, providing training and guidance on culinary techniques such as knife skills and food presentation.
  • Contribute to menu development by suggesting new recipes and improving existing dishes.
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with catering events and special functions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on culinary arts, baking, or pastry work.
  • Strong skills in cake decorating, food preparation, and food production.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques.
  • Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in baking techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.

Pay: $50, $55,000.00 per year
