Overview

A new Medicare Advantage health plan launching in 2025 is seeking a hands-on Business Analyst with strong Epic Tapestry and SQL/reporting expertise. This role supports reporting, data validation, and CMS-related analytics. The ideal candidate combines deep Tapestry knowledge, Medicare Advantage/CMS experience, and advanced SQL/report-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable reporting and data solutions.
  • Design, build, test, and deliver reports, dashboards, extracts, and datasets.
  • Work with Epic data models (Clarity, Caboodle) to support Medicare Advantage reporting needs.
  • Perform data validation, QA, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support CMS/Medicare Advantage reporting, submissions, and data quality checks.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, operations, and clinical teams to deliver accurate and timely analytics.
  • Maintain documentation, including KPIs, data models, inventories, and BI assets.
  • Support system and Epic upgrades, assessing impacts on existing BI/reporting solutions.
  • Provide user training and support on dashboards, data tools, and analytics assets.

Required QualificationsEpic Tapestry Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Epic Tapestry in at least one of the following areas:
  • Claims
  • Benefits/Eligibility
  • Membership
  • Encounters/Workflows
  • Tapestry → Clarity reporting, integration, or data validation

SQL & Reporting

  • Strong SQL skills: able to write, modify, and optimize queries.
  • Experience building or modifying reports, dashboards, and datasets.
  • Ability to perform in-depth data validation and QA.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, Excel.

Medicare Advantage / CMS Expertise

  • 5+ years working in Medicare Advantage.
  • Knowledge of HCC coding, risk adjustment, and the 837 submission process.
  • Familiarity with MAO, MOR, MMR files and CMS data requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Certifications (Tapestry, Clarity, or other Epic modules).
  • Experience with Epic Caboodle, Clarity Data Marts, and advanced Epic reporting tools.
  • Experience with Epic Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, or Slicer Dicer.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $65.00 per hour
