Overview
We are looking for a Business Analyst, preferably with a technical background to support IT project initiatives within our clients’ complex manufacturing environment. The Technical Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role combines analytical thinking, technical understanding, and strong communication skills to translate complex requirements into actionable specifications that engineering and product teams can deliver. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys problem-solving, and can confidently collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis
Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders. Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications. Analyse existing systems, processes, and data flows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Support feasibility studies, impact assessments, and solution evaluations.
Technical Collaboration
Work closely with software engineers, architects, and product managers to design scalable solutions. Create detailed technical documentation such as data models, API requirements, workflow diagrams, and system mappings. Assist in defining acceptance criteria and support QA teams during testing cycles. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical discussions.
Data & Systems Insight
Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, or BI tools to support decision-making. Understand system integrations, APIs, and data pipelines to ensure end-to-end solution integrity. Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production issues.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the liaison between business units and technical teams. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible way. Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
Qualifications
Relevant certifications (CBAP, Agile BA, Scrum Master, etc.). Teamcenter – Product Life cycle Management (PLM) platform NX – CAD/CAM/CAE design and engineering suite Polarion – Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and requirements management tool Essential Skills
Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, databases, and integration patterns. Proficiency with requirements gathering techniques and documentation standards. Solid analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to create process maps, user stories, and technical specifications. Desired Skills
Able to balance technical depth with business context. Clear, actionable requirements that lead to smooth delivery. Strong relationships with both technical and business stakeholders. Improved processes, reduced complexity, and well designed solutions. A measurable impact on product quality, delivery speed, and business outcomes. Experience
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical BA in a software, data, or digital environment. Experience with SQL or other query languages. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Familiarity with HPC (High Performance Compute) p latform s Exposure to data modelling, ETL processes, or BI tools Benefits
