The Human Resource Generalist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department. In addition, the HR Generalist will be responsible for hiring, to source applicants through various channels, plan interviews and develop selection procedures. They will also be responsible for assisting department managers with the on-boarding of all new employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to the Human Resources Manager
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, including determining job selection criteria.
  • Source potential candidates through multiple channels.
  • Plan interviews and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in person interviews.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Assists with new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Understand Power Motive's compensation and benefit's packages.
  • Understand Power Motive's continuing education plans and requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Knowledgeable of Applicate Tracking Systems.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methodologies.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in related field preferred.
  • Prior related office experience preferred
