Orbis is seeking a mission-driven, strategic, and execution-focused Senior Product Manager to lead the continued development of Orbis Catalyst — our federated data mesh. In this role, you will interface with customers and users, work with business units, and deliver a product roadmap that solves real-time mission focused objectives.

This is a high impact role suited for someone looking to drive the vision of a product as we transition from a fully managed, cloud-based architecture to a self or partially managed architecture spanning on-prem and cloud providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product roadmap for Orbis Catalyst in alignment with the Orbis product strategy and business unit objective
  • Gather, prioritize, and refine product requirements through direct engagement with end users, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, user research, and design teams to ensure rapid iteration and high-quality delivery
  • Take part in client briefings, demos, and implementation planning
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance requirements in sensitive environments
  • Drive usability improvements and interface enhancements based on real-world feedback

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering in the public sector
  • Travel up to 10% of the time for customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and translate them into actionable development plans
  • Experience working with engineering teams using Agile methodologies
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with enterprise software standards, user access controls, and secure system design
  • Previous experience working with government, defense, or national security clients
  • Technical fluency with APIs, data integrations, and backend constraints of enterprise systems
  • U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret (TS) clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering in the public sector
  • Travel up to 25% of the time for customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and translate them into actionable development plans
  • Experience working with engineering teams using Agile methodologies
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with enterprise software standards, user access controls, and secure system design

  • Previous experience working with government, defense, or national security clients

  • Technical fluency with APIs, data integrations, and backend constraints of enterprise systems

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings.
  • Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region.
