Position Summary / Objective

Our Class C Drivers are responsible for the safe, timely, and professional operation of company vehicles to transport goods and/or passengers. This role supports daily operations by ensuring deliveries or transport services are completed efficiently while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and customer service standards.

Essential Functions

The following duties represent the primary responsibilities of the role. This list is not exhaustive. The individual in this position will perform additional tasks as assigned, adhere to all provisions of the Employee Manual, and participate in company initiatives and projects.

Driving & Transportation

  • Operate Class C vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
  • Transport goods, materials, or passengers to designated locations.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to traffic or weather conditions.

Vehicle Inspection & Safety

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Report mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep.

Documentation & Communication

  • Complete delivery logs, trip reports, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers.
  • Use electronic logging or routing systems as required.

Customer Service & Compliance

  • Follow all company procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.

Work Environment

Office/Warehouse; work is primarily performed in a vehicle with exposure to varying weather conditions, traffic, and loading/unloading areas.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle. The role involves standing, walking, bending, and climbing as needed throughout the workday. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Operating motor vehicles and related equipment is required, and the employee may be exposed to varying weather conditions. Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical work hours follow standard business schedules; however, flexibility is required to support regional needs, client events, and production schedules. All hours worked will comply with applicable labor laws.

Travel

This position requires travel up to 75%. Travel may include both local and out-of-area trips and may occasionally require overnight stays.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Valid Class C Driver's License required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous driving, delivery, or transportation experience preferred
  • Ability to pass background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and drug screening
  • Strong knowledge of safe driving practices, DOT regulations, and traffic laws
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Strong time-management, organizational, and communication skills
