Pennbridge Hospitality is proud to announce the opening of a new full-service upscale restaurant in the heart of Downtown Boise within the new AC/Element Hotel by Marriott. We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead our upscale rooftop bar from pre-opening through day-to-day operations. This is a rare opportunity to shape a signature bar program from the ground up and be a key leader in a high-profile hotel opening.

About the Role

The Bar Manager will be responsible for creating, launching, and operating a destination-worthy rooftop bar experience. This role requires a hands-on mixologist with proven opening experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for craft cocktails, elevated service, and hospitality excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the opening and launch of the rooftop bar, including concept execution, menu development, and operational setup
  • Design and maintain an innovative cocktail program emphasizing quality, creativity, and consistency
  • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing bar team
  • Oversee daily bar operations, scheduling, and service standards
  • Manage inventory, ordering, cost controls, and vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor regulations
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership, culinary teams, and events to deliver a seamless guest experience
  • Create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere that reflects the hotel's brand and Downtown Boise vibe

Qualifications

  • Proven mixologist with strong cocktail and spirits knowledge (required)
  • Previous bar opening experience in an upscale, craft, or hotel environment (required)
  • 3+ years of bar management or lead bartending experience in a high-volume or premium setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Financial acumen with experience managing labor and beverage costs
  • Passion for hospitality, trends, and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Sommelier certifications preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $65,000.00 per year
