Blending/Packaging Operator

Job Description:

The Blending/Packaging Operator role offers variety, with duties in Packaging and Blending Departments at Fromm Family Foods.

Essential Functions:

1. Restock bags and totes of ingredients with forklift or by hand, to support daily requirements.

2. Accurately weigh appropriate amounts of minor ingredients according to formulation.

3. Accurately complete paperwork per standard operating procedures.

4 Rotate between various roles in packaging by hanging, filling and palletizing bags of various sizes.

1. Monitor the quality of the product and package per specifications.

2. Keep area around assigned work area clean and free from clutter.

3. Abide by all safety rules and company policies.

Physical Requirements:

1. Routinely lift up to 30 lbs. in packaging role and up to 50 lbs. in blending role to waist height.

2. Bend, push/pull, squat, reach, grip, grab, hold various products, packaging, and tools.

3. Stand for duration of shift (other than departmental approved breaks).

4. Able to work in various temperatures including heat, humidity, and cold.

5. Able to work in environment containing dust and potential allergens, and smells.

6. Understand and communicate basic verbal and written instructions and respond to questions.

7. Able to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide).

8. Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, plus overtime to meet department goals.

9. Able to safely operate a forklift (company will train).

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8.0 per week
