Duties

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Provide hands-on therapy interventions such as trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to promote healing and mobility
  • Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the healthcare team to optimize care strategies
  • Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention, and discharge planning to support ongoing recovery at home
  • Maintain accurate medical terminology records, treatment logs, and care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and assisting with patient transfers or mobility assistance as needed

Skills

  • Proven experience with physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and manual therapy methods
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and the fundamentals of patient care
  • Familiarity with outpatient care
  • Ability to develop and follow comprehensive care plans for diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics
  • Excellent communication skills for educating patients on treatment procedures and discharge instructions
  • Experience working within orthopedics or sports-related rehabilitation is preferred
  • Knowledge of discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions from clinical settings to home
