Credentialing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist who thrives in a high-intensity, fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient, with the ability to manage multiple providers and deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing processes for healthcare providers, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
• Collect, review, and verify provider documentation such as licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance, and other credentials in accordance with NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards.
• Maintain detailed records of credentialing activities, including tracking deadlines and renewal dates to prevent lapses.
• Collaborate with managed care organizations, payers, and internal teams to facilitate provider enrollment and credential verification.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to provider credentials and accreditation standards.
• Assist in preparing reports related to credentialing status, provider network updates, and audit readiness.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline credentialing workflows and enhance data accuracy.

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical office administration or healthcare credentialing roles.
• Strong understanding of managed care processes and NCQA standards.
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation requirements.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and ensure compliance across all credentialing activities.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with providers, payers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in credentialing software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
