Construction Manager

Overview

A Construction Site Manager is required for a large Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power project north of Austin, Texas. This long-term W-2 contract role supports on-site construction execution through commissioning and turnover, acting as the owner's representative.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day on-site leadership and oversight of EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate daily construction activities across civil, mechanical, electrical, and BOP scopes.
• Monitor schedule, progress, and safety performance; identify and escalate risks.
• Enforce project EHS standards and OSHA compliance.
• Review contractor work plans, schedules, and field execution.
• Track and report construction progress and site issues.
• Support resolution of RFIs, field issues, and turnover to commissioning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction management experience on industrial or power projects.
• Prior CCGT or thermal power plant experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and balance-of-plant construction.
• Proven experience managing EPC contractors in the field.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on site.
