Staff Engineer

Staff Engineer – Environmental / Civil

A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a motivated Staff Engineer to support environmental and civil engineering projects. This role provides exposure to both office-based design work and hands-on field activities, with opportunities to learn from experienced professionals in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The Staff Engineer will work under the guidance of senior staff and contribute to a variety of infrastructure and environmental projects, supporting design, permitting, construction, and compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of engineering designs and technical documents
• Support permitting and regulatory compliance activities
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation
• Perform field work including inspections, sampling, and construction observation
• Analyze technical data and support project implementation
• Utilize CAD software to assist with project design
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and senior engineers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, Geological, or related Engineering discipline
• 0–4 years of relevant engineering experience (internship or co-op experience acceptable)
• EIT or PE preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in team settings
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Valid driver's license required
