Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager will serve as functional lead for the accounting and financial operational support. This position will be a "hands-on" position in driving the successful growth of the organization and will play an important part in improving operational effectiveness, maximize cashflow, working capital and maximize team-member value. This position will report to the Vice President of Accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the close process of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting and preparation of timely and accurate financial reports
  • Complete month end close procedures and related journal entries
  • Provide support for the annual audit
  • Provide support for the annual budgeting process
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports as requested
  • Prepare and file monthly sales tax reports
  • Track capital expenditures
  • Assist in the evaluation and improvement of necessary controls and procedures to drive the integrity of financial statements
  • Oversee all accounting functions including cash management, accounts receivable, inventory management, accruals etc.
  • Identify financial gaps and opportunities, and work with VP of Accounting to implement and monitor compliance.
  • Provide support to the Vice President of Accounting and Chief Financial Officer as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced excel skills and proficient in other Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong understanding GAAP
  • Speak to customers in a professional and respectful etiquette, even in interactions of stress, complaint, or urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Excel Skills

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience in an accounting position.
  • Experience with manufacturing operations preferred
  • Experience with multiple reporting locations preferred
  • Georgia, Indiana, United States
