Job Structure:

The primary purpose of this position is to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment in a paper converting manufacturing facility to ensure production continuity and efficiency. Prior powered material handling equipment experience and background in GMP environments a plus.

Respond to operator, quality, and/or supervisor requests on equipment specifications

Mechanically inclined and can perform mechanical fixes such as gear boxes, V-belts, bearing replacement, rebuilding pneumatic cylinders, and a solid understanding of mechanical equipment in general.

Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on production machinery, packaging equipment

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic issues to identify root causes and implement timely repairs.

A working knowledge of using drill press, hydraulic press, cutting tools, grinders, welder, torch. Mill and Lathe experience is a plus but not required

Safely use scissors lifts, high lifts, hoist, lift trucks, lifting straps, chain falls, etc.

Capable of understanding and calibrating E/P, Loadcell, and other process sensors/scales

Electrical knowledge and experience with PLC Drives and using multi meters, amp meters, and voltage testing equipment.

Knowledge and experience with single phase and 3 phase line wiring, 120v and 460V, AC and DC controls, AC/DC wiring methods

AC/DC drives/motors/ VFD's & servo motors, PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff), HMI

Assist with internal or external engineering resources to ensure adherence to project goals and objectives.

Must be a self-starter with the ability to become self-directed.

Ability to read European/American electrical, mechanical schematics and prints, as well as technical manuals is required.

This position will also be required to help in operations.

This would involve transporting raw materials to machines for production, assisting in machine setup and operations, quality control testing, machine cleanup after and between orders, packaging finished product for shipment, shipping and receiving, and routine cleaning.

Use of a forklift and Clamp truck.

This position will be Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm.

Overtime may be necessary, and the ability to respond to issues on off hours.

To become a member of our team you will need:

· High school Diploma or equivalent (GED)

· Valid driver's license.

· Must be able to read, write, verbally communicate, and enter information into a computer in English.

· Be physically able to help carry 50 to 100 lbs. lift and place mixers, move Mill rolls and drums.

· Climb ladders, walk, and stand during a 12-hour shift.

Sierra is a producer of food packaging materials.

· Good Manufacturing Procedures and Safety requirements will be followed

Pay would start at $25 per hour.
