Duties

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, or digital payments with precision.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customers to explore additional items through upselling strategies.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh inventory.
• Assist with stocking and inventory management to keep the sales floor inviting and well-maintained.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products or store policies while maintaining proper phone etiquette.
• Support team members with supervising experience by helping train new staff or guiding less experienced associates when needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
• Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail math tasks accurately.
• Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is a plus, especially familiarity with merchandising, stocking, and customer service standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
• Professional phone etiquette and excellent interpersonal skills to engage customers confidently.
