Preschool Teacher – Childcare & Daycare | Manassas City, VA

Location: Manassas City, VA
Pay: $17–$19 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Manassas City. This role is ideal for a dependable childcare professional who enjoys working with preschool-aged children and creating a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.

Our preschool classrooms focus on school readiness, social-emotional development, and hands-on learning through play, routine, and exploration.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily activities for preschool-aged children in a safe and supportive classroom

Plan and facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences including circle time, art, early literacy, and play
Encourage positive behavior, independence, and peer interaction
Maintain consistent classroom routines and transitions
Communicate clearly with families regarding daily activities and child progress
Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing, health, and safety standards
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and center leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience working in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting required
  Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for preschool-aged children
  Reliable, patient, and professional demeanor
  CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
