LICENSED Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your contributions will help patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their overall physical function.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises, home care techniques, and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with medical standards.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patient care by following infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.

Skills

• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology to effectively assist in patient assessments.
• Experience or familiarity with various therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy.
• Ability to work in diverse settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, pediatrics, and skilled nursing facilities.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life.
• Familiarity with home health practices is a plus.
