Opportunity Description

South Seattle College is looking to hire a Program Assistant in Access Services.

Salary Range for this position is $ hourly.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director, Access Services, the Program Assistant will be responsible for performing work requiring knowledge and experience that is specific to providing services to students with disabilities.

Organize and perform work related to Access Services operations. Provide program information to students, instructors and members of the public.

Perform clerical duties in support of budget incumbent's performance of budget administration and data tracking.

Essential Functions:

  • Proctor student exams while maintaining exam integrity

This position is Part-time, working 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, primarily 10 am to 3 pm.

This position works 100% of the time on-site.

This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by WFSE.

What you will be working on:

Essential Functions:

  • Proctor student exams while maintaining exam integrity
  • Perform clerical duties such as copying, scanning, faxing and filing
  • Deliver and set up assistive technology and equipment to classrooms or locations on campus
  • Take notes or scribe for students that qualify for services
  • Assist students in locating other campus resources as needed
  • Assist in keeping the office organized
  • Greet visitors to off ice and provide program information
  • Assist with student intake procedures
  • Assist with tracking data, including information submitted by students
  • Assist Program Support Supervisor
  • File management
  • Assist in distribution of letters of accommodation to faculty
  • Perform related duties as required

What you bring as a candidate

Qualifications:

  • High School graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience
  • Computer skills, including MS office
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling files and information
