About the Private Equity Practice at L.E.K.

The Private Equity ("PE") Practice supports L.E.K.'s financial sponsor clients in N. America to identify acquisition targets, perform commercial due diligence of acquisition targets, support value growth planning for portfolio companies and provide market assessments to help prepare companies for sale.

L.E.K. Consulting is seeking a Coordinator to join the Strategy & Operations function. This role supports the growth, operations, and strategic priorities of the PE practice. You'll report to the Director, Strategy & Operations – TMT & PE and work closely with PE leadership and the broader Strategy & Operations team. This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. It is well suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to gain exposure to strategy and operations in a top-tier consulting firm.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Growth Support

  • Collaborate with the PE Practice leadership team to support maintenance and tracking of strategic and operational plans for the PE Practice Business Unit (BU)
  • Work closely with the broader PE Practice team to assist with coordination of PE Practice growth initiatives
  • Assist in the project management of BU initiatives such as capability building, go-to-market efforts, and service line development
  • Support the preparation of materials for BU planning and leadership meetings

Operations & Communications

  • Support day-to-day operations critical to the effective functioning of the BU, including (non-exhaustive):
  • Partnering with the Knowledge Management team to maintain and enhance the Community of Practice (CoP) site(s)
  • Coordinating knowledge-sharing initiatives to promote access to BU insights across the firm
  • Maintaining communication infrastructure, including distribution lists and collaboration channels
  • Collaborating with Marketing and GTM teams to coordinate PE-related content on L.E.K.'s website
  • Contribute to performance reporting, resource tracking, and internal communications
  • Collaborate with the Knowledge Management (KM), and Data & Analytics (D&A) teams to help facilitate access to PE-specific tools and IP

Cross-Functional & Firmwide Engagement, and Community Building

  • Liaise with other core services teams (e.g., Marketing, Growth, People, and Solutions) to support alignment on firmwide initiatives with PE
  • Contribute to coordination of cross-functional activities that support PE visibility and firm positioning
  • Partner with People team to develop and execute meaningful culture-driving programs within PE including (non-exhaustive): team meetings, information sessions, etc.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree is required
  • A proactive mindset – we are seeking a team member who demonstrates initiative, anticipates needs, and consistently identifies opportunities to improve processes and outcomes beyond assigned responsibilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present information clearly
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Basic understanding of business concepts and their practical applications
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) and interest in applying them to improve day-to-day operations
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Preference to have at least 1-3 years of experience in a corporate or professional services setting

  • L.E.K. Consulting has a hybrid work model in place for our U.S. offices.
  • In California and Massachusetts, the base salary is between $50,000 - $58,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level. L.E.K. also offers a performance bonus, profit sharing and other benefits.
