Responsibilities

• Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that stimulate curiosity and support developmental milestones in preschool-aged children
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages social interaction, cooperation, and emotional growth
• Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing tailored support to meet individual needs
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations including first aid protocols
• Engage with children through play-based activities, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational games
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, behavior, and any concerns effectively
• Manage classroom routines such as mealtime, nap time, transitions, and behavior management strategies

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors positively and effectively
• Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and community partners to support children's growth

Pay: $ $13.00 per hour
