We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation of outgoing shipments. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, ensuring proper labeling, and coordinating with carriers. This position is critical to ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Verify outgoing orders against shipping manifests and customer orders.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Package items securely and efficiently, ensuring they meet shipping standards.
- Generate and apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup schedules and special handling requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing shipments to prevent errors.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading trucks when necessary.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics and fulfillment processes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related warehouse/logistics role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Proficiency with shipping software and documentation is a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs regularly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow all safety guidelines.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
