We're hiring a Receiving Clerk for our St. Louis, Missouri location! This role is crucial for the initial stages of our warehouse operations, ensuring all incoming goods are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and logging all incoming shipments, verifying them against purchase orders and packing slips. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records are key. Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming deliveries from various carriers.
- Verify the contents of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect goods for any damages or discrepancies and report them immediately.
- Accurately enter received inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stage received items for put-away by other team members.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly receiving area.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding incoming shipments.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving clerk or warehouse setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures and WMS is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
