Our busy distribution center in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking a meticulous Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the flow of goods into and out of our facility. This vital role ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately documented and put away, and that outgoing orders are correctly prepared and dispatched. You will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, coordinating with carriers, and upholding the highest standards of Safety and organization within the shipping and receiving docks. - Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Document all incoming and outgoing inventory movements.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including occasional Lifting.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency with computers and warehouse management software.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Familiarity with Safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
