We are seeking a diligent Warehouse Associate to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role is critical for the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution center, ensuring accurate handling and storage of goods. As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform a wide range of duties, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping. You'll be an integral part of our logistics process, contributing to customer satisfaction by ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment and expect all associates to follow strict Safety guidelines and utilize the provided PPE. This position offers a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting and develop skills within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Store merchandise in appropriate locations, ensuring proper organization and rotation.
- Pick items from shelves accurately to fulfill customer orders.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (certification may be required/provided), and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Consistently wear appropriate PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and basic inventory control.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all protocols.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
